@wizard @SuperFloppies @izaya @sjw you can set the audio per packet to a smaller size by using the config file. I successfully managed to do 20ms round-trip-latency (so from microphone to speaker through a loop on the soundcard on the other side). The primary problem is internet latency which is greatly reduced the moment you don't use DSL but fiber, cable or wifi (in my case funkfeuer in vienna)
@wizard @izaya @SuperFloppies @sjw Mumble has pretty amazing audio quality and latency. When using jack you can even do a jam session together. Stereo audio for voip is pretty much useless as no one has a stereo microphone. Patching mumble for stereo would be pretty easy but patching it so stereo and positional audio works at the same time would be a little nightmare.
